Happy 4th of July... a month late

So for the 4th of July Kyle and I wanted to do something adventurous, so we went white water rafting down the Clark Fork River, which is in Montana. The drive was a little over 2 hours. One of the family traditions in the Gleue family, that Kyle wanted to carry on, is making Cinnamon Rolls on the morining of the 4th. I didn't have my Grandma Randall's recipe, so we just made some out of one of those tubes that you pop open. But they were still yummy.

So after pulling the cinnamon rolls out of the oven we started our drive to Montana. It was the perfect day, it was sunny and there was no wind. Kyle and I ended up in a raft with a younger group of people which was nice because we were worried that we wouldn't have a ton of fun because we didn't know anyone in the group. The water was pretty cold but it was so fun and so pretty. Kyle was not to bored with the size of rapids. He was a river guide one summer on the Snake River, so it was not a challenge for him. But we had so much fun being out doors together.

It was such a pretty day and we saw a few bald eagles that were flying around.

After our river trip we went home and took a nap. Than we went and watched the fire works. We drove down town and it was so busy that we ended up parking in a parking lot and sitting in the back of the truck with pillows and blankets. We did one of my family traditions and brought a bag of popped pop corn and some twisllers. It was a good show but we were a little disapointed, we were hoping for a much bigger show.

We had bought a waterproof camera for our water rafting trip and we didn't finish the film on our trip. So one of the days at the pool at our apartment complex we finished our film.

We thought this picture was really funny because of the woman in the back ground.

  1. Cute pictures. You said Kyle was not bored on the rapids. Did you mean he WAS bored??? I like the one of you laying on the side of the raft :) I can't wait to see you next month. Hopefully the bugs will start going away by then so none crawl on you :)
