Things we have been up to in the last month...

So for a Relief Society Activity we were asked to each donate a service. At the activity we each drew a service out of a hat a got to keep it or trade with someone else. I donated a custom birthday cake. The lady who got my service had me make her husband a cake and she said he likes tools. She didn't give me a whole lot of specifics of what she wanted, she told me to just have fun with it and do what I wanted. So this is what I came up with. The tools are all made out of rice crispy treats and covered in fondant. I had a lot of fun making this cake.

So we were trying to buy a place so that we could move before the baby is born and it does not seem like it will happen. So we decided to set up the baby's crib, changing table, and dresser in our apartment. We had to take our kitchen table and chairs out of the apartment to make room for the baby furniture. So this is what our baby room/corner will look like.

My wonderful sister-in-laws, mother-in-law, and friend threw me a baby shower and this diaper trike was one of the decorations/gifts. I think it is so cute, I don't want to use the diapers :)

So on July 1st, Midvale City Police Department switched to Unified Police Department. The city had a big ceremony where all the Midvale Officers got sworn in as Unified Police Officers and than there was a BBQ afterwards.

With Midvale switching over to Unified, we had to switch all our insurance and benefits. Not

the best time, in my opinion, to have to switch over everything. My OBGYN is a specialist at the University of Utah Hospital and I was planning on delivering our baby there, but our new insurance doesn't cover that Hospital. So now we will be delivering at IMC in Murray. Luckily Dr. Branch delivers at that Hospital, I'm just annoyed at having to move to a different Clinic. But everything will work out fine and all that I really care about is that so far our little girl is doing great.

I am now 37 weeks and 1 day along in my pregnancy. I am defiantly getting uncomfortable. I feel huge and have been having contractions. This Thursday I have a doctor's appointment and will probably set a date to get induced. Of coarse it all depends on how everything is looking, but Dr. Branch made it sound like I could be having her next week. I will let you know what ends up happeing.

The last few days have been pretty hot and my feet and ankles are huge and fat. I can't where some of my shoes anymore, because my feet are too fat to fit in them :)

Things are going well for Kyle and I, we are still waiting to hear back about the offer we put in on a townhouse in Saratoga Springs. So I'll keep you posted on that deal.

So Kyle and I decided to go on a hike the other day, it was up the Mill Creek Canyon on a hike called Pipeline. The hike was about 2 miles long and it took us almost 2 hours. Poor Kyle had to go at a very slow pace and take lots of brakes because I made him take me with him :)
The hike felt so good and I loved being outside in the wonderful weather. I have been staying pretty active during my pregnancy and have felt pretty good through my whole pregnancy. I do however have random days where I get nauseous at random times. The other morning, driving to work I got sick and threw up right when I got to work. I threw up so hard that I popped blood vessels all over my face, eyes, and neck. It was the worst throw up I've ever had. I felt so pretty after words :) But I did feel better right after words :)
So I am 33 weeks and 3 days into my pregnancy. At 32 weeks my doctor started having me do Non Stress Tests on the baby twice a week. So I go in on Mondays and Thursdays and they hook a monitor up to my tummy for about 30 minutes and they measure her heart rate and how often she moves. So far she is doing excellent :) And I having been doing pretty good with keeping my blood sugars where they need to be. I am getting pretty tired of eating the same thing every day. But I do mix it up a little bit by eating lots of popsicles, I love them so much right now:)

So we ended up not getting the townhome is Saratogo Springs. We were going through HUD Homes to buy the place. It turned out that HUD did not own the title to the property and the bank that owned the title would not release the title to HUD. So everything fell through. We were not very happy about the whole process. But we're moving on trying to find another home to purchase. We would really like to move before our little girl gets here.

So I am doing a study that is called NuMom2Be, and with this study I have gotten some free ultrasounds done. On the last one I did for the study the lady gave me a free 3-D ultrasound picture:) I think its a pretty cute picture, but I am her mother. Its crazy how clear of a picture this is. I am so anxious to see her when she gets here and compare her to this picture. I think I was about 28 weeks when I got this picture taken.

I'm so sorry that I have not updated our blog for over a year now. We have been very busy this year and have a lot of new things happening for us. I am now only working one job. I work at the Cheesecake Factory in Salt Lake City as a Baker/Cashier/Curbside. We got to go to Wyoming for the 4th of July and went camping with Kyle's family. Wyoming is beautiful in the summer. We got to go back for the 24th of July also and went to a rodeo. I had so much fun at the rodeo. Kyle graduated from the Police Academy in the end of August.
After Kyle graduated he looked awhile for a job as a Police Officer but couldn't find one right away. He ended up working for Target for about 6 weeks and than got offered a position in Midvale City. He got sworn in as a Police Officer on December 6th 2010. I am so proud of him and his hard work and determination.

A few days after Christmas we decided to trade in Kyle's car and buy this one. Its a 2007 Jeep Grand Cheeroke. Its a V8 and I love love love it.We decided to buy a new car because the end of November right after Kyle found out he got the job with Midvale City, I found out that I was pregnant!!!! My due date is July 24th and we are having a Girl. My pregnancy has gone really well so far. I was only sick for the first 3 months. I was really nervous to get pregnant because of my diabetes, but I have been doing pretty well so far. The risks that come with pregnancy when you are a Diabetic are not that bad. You tend to have larger babies, so you end up having to have a C-section. I have been going to a lot of doctor appointments to try and keep my blood sugar levels down so that the baby will not be big. It has been going pretty well so far, but lately it has started changing and getting a little harder. My doctor told me that I need to be consistant in what I eat and when I wake up and what time I eat and the things I do. So I wake up now at 7:30 everyday and go to the gym and than get ready for the day. I try really hard to eat the same thing everyday and at the same time, but it's kinda hard with my work schedule, but im trying my hardest. I have had a few ultrasounds and everything is going great so far. The baby is measuring right where she needs to be and I'm doing good as well. My tummy is starting to poke out a lot and I definatly can't hide the fact that I'm pregnant anymore. I am now 23 weeks and have started feeling her move, which makes me giggle everytime.

For my niece Abby's 2 year old birthday party I made her an Elmo cake. I had a lot of fun making it. And she loved it.

That same weekend that we had Abby's birthday party, Austin and Amy also had Hayley's baby blessing. My dad was able to come that weekend and it was so fun to have him stay with us. He is such a wonderful grandpa and father.

The newest thing for Kyle and I is that we are trying to buy a new home. We are in the process of purchasing this town home in Saratogo Springs. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 bathrooms, a 2 car garage, laundry room with a washer and dryer, and an unfinished basement. We don't have an offical closing date yet, but we are hoping to be in there before the end of April.

Well I think thats all the main things that have taken place over this last year. Lots of new things for us. We are doing well and loving life. We are both busy and its hard to spend a lot of time together because of our work schedules, but we are happy. Kyle is done with his training and is now driving around on his own. He loves his job which makes me very happy. He also gets to drive his Police car home now so we have 3 cars parked in our driveway. I have started packing up our apartment so that when moving time comes I won't be to overwhelmed. I will try and do better with updating our blog from now on.

So I'm horrible at updating our blog, but I'll blame it on the fact that I'm working 2 jobs right now. I work as a lunch lady at East High and in the Bakery at the Fresh Market Grocery store that is down the street from where we live. Kyle is in the Police Academy and working at a treatment center for troubled teens. So we're busy, tired, and we never see enough of eachother. But we are happy and enjoying ourselves.
A lot has happened since December 7th. We went to California to have Christmas with my family. Kyle started the Academy and became obsessed with making things on his Lathe(a machine that spins wood things like a baseball bat). I've been working on controlling my blood sugar levels better, and going through a lot of test strips. I've also been coming up with a lot of projects for Kyle, most of them have to do with building me things for our home. My niece Bella turned 2 on Jan 31st. For our Valentines celebration we went to a Monster Truck Jam in Salt Lake, and Kyle realized how white trash I really am. We also had to speak in church and I actually survived. I'm terrified of public speaking but not of heights. I'd rather be in the casket at a funeral than giving the eulogy. Kyle's bother Nick and his wife Jill had their baby on Feb 12th, his name is Pixton and he is perfect. My brother Shea turned 26 on Feb 14th, Happy Birthday. My niece Staucie turned 4 on Feb 23rd. Kyle, the sweet husband that he is, let me get my hair done. I love it, and feel like a new woman. The day that I got my hair done I also got the eat at one of the new In-N-Out's that opened in Utah with my great friend Janelle. That was a great day because I didn't have to work either of my jobs and I just loved having a day for myself. Than this weekend Kyle and I went to Wyoming to visit our new nephew Pixton, and the rest of the family :)
Shea and I riding around together at the cabin, this might be my favorite thing to do with shea :)
The vase that is in the middle is my favorite, Kyle cuts out each wood piece, than glues it all together and than spins it on his Lathe. He has made more but has given them away. The small circle thing is a bracelet that Kyle made me and there are earrings to match. There were 8 different monster trucks, and it was so cool when they jumped. I screamed so much that I lost my voice.

Smoot is the town that Kyle is from, I think this sign is amazing...

Kyle is such a cute uncle, I'm so excited to see him as a father :)

We are also coming up on our ONE year anniversary. I can't believe that it has gone by so fast. I have learned so much from Kyle and feel so lucky to have him in my life. Getting married has made me more aware of what I need to improve on. I feel like one of the biggest things I've learned is how to communicate better. Kyle is so patient with me and amazingly he still adores me and all my faults. I love him and the great man that he is. I have such a strong love for the gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I feel so blessed to have such a strong marriage and I know its because of our choice to be sealed for time and all eternity. Its so nice to not have to deal with the drama of the world that some couples deal with who do not have the gospel in their lives. I feel that the gospel is such a great protection to have in the home and in my marriage. We have been so blessed in our marriage and we are so greatful for the Lord's tender mercies that we see so much.
